Coasteering FAQ

What to bring?

We provide all of the specialist equipment including wetsuits, bouyancy aids and helmets. All you need is swimwear to go under the wetsuit, a towel and a pair of old trainers to wear in the water. We always recommend wearing sun cream and if it’s a cold day then bring some warm clothing to get changed into afterwards!

Do i have to do the big jumps?

Not everyone enjoys the bigger jumps so our guides will give you an alternative jump  to suit. You can always stay relaxing in the water until everyone has jumped in and it’s time to adventure on.

Swimming ability and fitness?

Ideally everyone needs to be able to swim 2 lengths of a swimming pool and you need to be able to be active enough for some swimming and rock scrambling over a 2 hour period. Our minimum age is usually around 12 years old.

Group sizes?

Usually between 6 – 14 people. We have sole use of the stunning National Trust location we use so their won’t be other providers on our course!

Bad weather cancellation?

It doesn’t matter if it rains however from time to time we will have to cancel a session if the swell forecast is too large. If this happens then we are happy to either re arrange or give a full refund. As an alternative we may be able to offer a surf lesson instead, because if the swell is too large for Coasteering, then the Surf is great!
