Autumn Weather
Cornwall is spectacular in the autumn months and is a great place to watch the seasons change. The woodland colours are shades of green, brown, gold and red. The sunsets are incredible, and you can watch some incredible storms from the comfort of a beachside café or pub.

Dog running on beach

The Seasonal Dog Ban is lifted
Although there are a few dog friendly beaches throughout the summer, most have a seasonal dog ban which normally runs from Easter till September. October arrives and the ban is lifted which means you can take your dog for a walk and admire the scenery on pretty much all the beaches in the county.

The water is still warm
October is one of the best times to learn to surf – the sea is still warm and the beaches are quiet. It is definitely our favourite time to get in the water and play. It’s not just surfing that’s great, you can also go coastering if you fancy an adventure swimming around a headland.
