Windsurfing

Harness the power of the wind!

Beginners enjoy the sensation of skimming across the open water on a lake, then the challenge of turning round and getting back! It is then time to learn how to tack and gybe. Light winds are better for learning and you’ll be on wide style boards to help you progress quickly.

The experienced windsurfers go out in the surf and carve the wave face, getting big air from massive jumps and loops off the back of the wave. The speeds they reach are incredible and the feeling of exposure of being out in the Atlantic Ocean is awesome. In the waves you need higher winds to power you up for the jumps. At this level the boards are much smaller and look more like surfboards. We are lucky and get more than our fair share of good wind in Cornwall.
