If you are new to surfing or can catch a few waves lying down, then we will take you through all you need to know to get you up and riding.
- Our beginner lessons include:
- Stretching Exercises
- Introduction to surf safety and equipment
- Learning to Ride a wave lying down(Prone)
- Learning to stand up on your Surfboard
Once you have got changed into your wetsuit we head down the beach and start with an introduction to surf safety; your board; how to get out through the waves and most importantly how to catch them!
Then we get in the water so you can get a feel for the board. We stay in the shallows - not heading out further than waist deep so you stay safe and you can get the most from your lesson. Once you are catching waves comfortably and riding them prone (lying down) it's back to the beach for the next and most important part of your lesson.
We then show you some techniques for standing up before heading back into the water – once in the water this is where our coaches excel keeping close to you at all times giving plenty of coaching tips so you can get the most out of your lesson.
All equipment is provided – We use Circle One wetsuits that will keep you warm whether its March or August, NCS Soft Surfboards which are wide, stable and soft - perfect to get you up and standing. If it is cold then we can offer you neoprene boots and gloves as well.
